Tree Mortality Program Project #32

The County of Calaveras is seeking sealed bids for the furnishing of all labor, tax, bonds, insurance, permits, premiums, shipping, transportation, services, disposal, equipment, materials, and appurtenant facilities for qualified Licensed Timber Operators (LTO) and/or C-61/D-49 certified Tree Service Companies (TSC) to provide Tree Mitigation services in the project areas defined in the attached Exhibit A – Project Area Location (Maps). The services requested will include all operations related to the safe, legal, efficient cutting of dead and/or dying trees, selective removal of trees and treatment of associated slash and debris that pose a hazard to County infrastructure (primarily roads). • The contract requires the vendor to provide Tree Mitigation services, including cutting and removing dead and/or dying trees, and treating associated slash and debris. • The vendor must also provide a Traffic Control Plan, consistent with Caltrans specifications. • The contract has a lump sum amount of $208,702.41, with a 3% LVP discount. • The vendor must submit certificates of insurance, a Traffic Control Plan, and an Operations Plan within five business days of the date of the All Bidders Letter – Notice of Intent to Award.
