Vehicle/Equipment Telematics

This contract is for a Vehicle/Equipment Telematics system, which will provide real-time vehicle location and status data to Hernando County. The system will be provided by CalAmp Corp and will include in-vehicle equipment and base applications. The contract has a duration of 9 years and includes options for renewal. The system will be used to enhance the efficiency of vehicle operations and provide improved customer service. Some key features of the system include: • Real-time vehicle location and status data • In-vehicle equipment and base applications • Integration with existing ESRI GIS map data • Customized reporting applications • Wireless communications using cellular or public data networks • Options for hybrid communications, including satellite and WiFi.
