District 1 Tree Trimming

The City of Rosenberg has awarded a contract to The F.A. Bartlett Tree Expert Company for tree trimming services in District 1. The contract is valued at $43,470 and will commence on February 20, 2023, and end on June 30, 2023. The contractor will provide tree trimming services, including pruning and removal of trees, and will ensure that all work is performed in accordance with the American National Standard Institute (ANSI) A300 pruning guidelines. The contractor will also provide an urban forester to ensure that all pruning practices are performed in an aesthetically pleasing manner. The City of Rosenberg reserves the right to terminate the contract at any time, with or without cause. Some key points of the contract include: • The contractor will prune all trees on the attached list and any additional trees as may be required to establish a minimum clearance height of twelve (12) feet above sidewalks, fifteen (15) feet above curbs, and eighteen (18) feet above the center of the street. • The contractor will provide an urban forester to ensure all pruning practices are performed in an aesthetically pleasing manner that corresponds with ANSI A300 pruning guidelines. • The contractor will have under their employ at least one (1) employee who holds an ISA (International Society of Arboriculture) Certification, and the contractor shall ensure that ISA Certification is maintained throughout the contract period. • The contractor shall provide traffic control measures, proper signage and cones should be used while work is being performed, and all traffic control measures shall be in conformance with the latest requirements of the “Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (TMUTCD).
