Housing Summer Maintenance Augmentation

The College of Charleston is seeking bids for general maintenance work at various Student Housing buildings across campus. The contract is for supplemental summer maintenance assistance and includes tasks such as providing maintenance technicians, supervisors, and materials. The contract was awarded to Gilbane Building Company for a total potential value of $406,219.20. The initial contract term is from May 8, 2023, to August 11, 2023. • The contract includes hourly pay rates for maintenance technicians and supervisors. • The contractor is required to provide a full-time superintendent to monitor and coordinate an eight-person crew. • The College of Charleston will provide all materials, including consumables such as plastic protection, painters tape, paint brushes, and rollers. • The contractor must provide necessary tools for the work to be done per the scope of work. • The contractor's work schedule must be flexible to accommodate summer occupancy schedules established by Housing. • The contractor's employees must wear a shirt with their company logo at a minimum.
