P25 Public Safety VHF Handheld and Mobile Radios

The County of Riverside is seeking to enter into an agreement with an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or authorized OEM reseller to supply the Riverside County Fire Department with new handheld and mobile radios, parts, accessories, and components. The contract term is for up to 5 years with a 1-year base period and 4 one-year options renewable at the County's sole discretion. The County anticipates placing an initial order for up to 1500 handheld and 600 mobile radios, including parts and accessories. The contract includes various items such as handheld radios, mobile radios, belt clips, rechargeable batteries, and programming cables. The County has determined BK Technologies, Inc. and Johnson Equipment to be the lowest priced, most responsive, and responsible bidders for this solicitation. • The contract includes a 1-year base period and 4 one-year options renewable at the County's sole discretion. • The County anticipates placing an initial order for up to 1500 handheld and 600 mobile radios. • The contract includes various items such as handheld radios, mobile radios, belt clips, rechargeable batteries, and programming cables. • The County has implemented a local preference program and a Veteran Business and Veteran Qualified Business preference policy. • The contract is contingent upon successful completion of testing per Exhibit A, Paragraph 5.0 - Radio Testing and Evaluation of the RFQ.
