Horne Road - From Ayers Street to Port Avenue (Bond 2012)

The City of Corpus Christi has awarded a contract for the reconstruction of Horne Road from Ayers Street to Port Avenue. The project includes the rehabilitation of the existing 4-lane roadway, replacement of existing utilities, and construction of new curb and gutter, driveways, and sidewalk. The contract was awarded to Salinas Construction Technologies for $1,884,600.57. The project is part of the City's Capital Programs and was funded through Bond 2012. Some key features of the project include: • Rehabilitation of approximately 1000 feet of existing roadbed • Placement of 5.5 inches of HMACP • Replacement of existing utilities, including waterlines, gas lines, and wastewater lines • Construction of new RTA bus pads and shelters • Rehabilitation of the existing drainage box culvert
