SFB Midfield Utility Infrastructure Project-S. Beardall Avenue and Moores Station Road

The Sanford Airport Authority is seeking sealed proposals from qualified contractors for the SFB Midfield Utility Infrastructure project. The project involves the installation of potable water and wastewater systems to be transferred to the City of Sanford upon completion. The proposed utilities will be installed by the Sanford Airport Authority and ultimately turned over to the City of Sanford. The project includes clearing and grading of Airport owned property, removal of approximately 170 trees, and coordination with FPL and Spectrum. The successful bidder will be required to provide a bid guaranty in the amount of five percent of the total bid price and furnish separate performance and payment bonds each in the amount of 100% of the contract price. Some key aspects of the project include: • Water Main: 6,400 LF of 12" PVC/14"HDPE (tying into 10" and 12" existing mains) • Force Main: 5,400 LF of 4" PVC/4"HDPE (tying into an 8" stub at E. Lake Mary Blvd) • Appurtenances: Installation of fire hydrants, tapping sleeves, valves, flushing connections, and services • Site Work & Logistics: Clearing & Grading, Removal of 170 trees, plus shrubs and brush, along S. Beardall Ave and Moores Station Road • Utility Coordination: Critical coordination required with FPL (including the removal of two poles) and Spectrum • Site Constraints: Work spans City of Sanford and Seminole County jurisdictions; includes fence removal/restoration and crossings under existing pavement • Gopher Tortoise Relocation: Relocation of existing gopher tortoises encountered along utility installation area
