Description

Bowling Green State University seeks a qualified vendor to provide a comprehensive, full‑service water‑treatment program for its campus operations. The contract covers chemical treatment, testing, dosage adjustment, pump and controller maintenance, and replacement for all water‑based systems, including a steam plant, HVAC cooling‑tower and chilled‑water loops, glycol loops, water softeners, high‑purity water systems, and microbiological testing across approximately 115 buildings. The pricing structure is time‑and‑materials, requiring an all‑inclusive hourly labor rate and detailed chemical cost breakdown. Performance metrics include minimum service frequencies (e.g., boilers twice per month), strict water‑quality targets, and rapid reporting requirements. The vendor must use BGSU‑selected water‑management platforms, provide quarterly meetings, and maintain continuous improvement and training. • Full‑service operation and maintenance of steam plant, HVAC cooling towers, chilled‑water, glycol, and softening systems. • All‑inclusive T&M labor rate; detailed chemical pricing; mandatory reporting within 24 hours of service. • Minimum service levels (e.g., boilers ≥2 visits/month) and strict water‑quality performance metrics. • Contract term: 3‑year initial period with potential five‑year renewal options; contract commences 1 Jan 2027. • Submission via Bid Express by 30 Oct 2026, with optional site visit on 22 Oct 2026 and questions due the same day.

Budget estimate

$2,000,000 – $5,000,000

Based on the size of the campus (≈115 buildings), the extensive scope (steam plant, HVAC cooling towers, chilled‑water and glycol loops, softeners, high‑purity water, microbiological testing), and a three‑year contract with all‑inclusive labor rates plus chemical costs, a typical award could range from low‑single‑digit millions to mid‑single‑digit millions of dollars. Assuming an average all‑inclusive labor rate of $150‑$200 per hour, multiple weekly service visits, and annual chemical spend, the total contract value is estimated at roughly $2 million to $5 million over the three‑year term.
