2330--Notice of Intent to Sole Source For CFORT Shelter Systems

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking to sole source a contract for a Containerized Fold Out Rigid Tactical Shelter (C-FORTS) system. The C-FORTS will be used as a mobile medical clinic to provide care to Veterans and civilians. The system must be able to withstand movement over the road and be deployable within 60 minutes by three unskilled laborers. The C-FORTS will have three exam rooms, one office area, and will be equipped with HVAC, power, and data ports. The contractor will be required to provide training and a comprehensive owner's manual. Key features of the C-FORTS include: • Three exam rooms and one office area • HVAC and power systems • Data ports and CAT 6 cables • Modular equipment such as soap dispensers and paper towel dispensers • Exam room furniture including exam tables and adjustable stools • Trailer with storage compartments and electric brakes • Fire extinguishers and entry ramps conforming to ADA guidelines
