Consulting Services for Greyhound Rock Cabins and Educational Center Site Plan

The County of Santa Cruz is seeking consulting services for the Greyhound Rock Cabins and Educational Center Site Plan project. The project aims to develop affordable overnight coastal cabin facilities and an environmental education center through a phased approach. The selected consultant will lead all aspects of project delivery, including technical studies, community and Tribal engagement, conceptual design development, CEQA environmental review, business planning, permitting, and completion of 60% construction documents. The scope requires demonstrated expertise in coastal planning, environmental analysis, site planning and design, community engagement, sustainable design, environmental education facility development, and regulatory compliance. • The project is located at Greyhound Rock County Park, adjacent to the Año Nuevo State Marine Reserve and the Greyhound Rock State Marine Conservation Area. • The project involves the development of 8-12 cabins and an environmental education center. • The project requires compliance with the California Coastal Commission and other regulatory agencies. • The project involves community and Tribal engagement, as well as environmental review and permitting. • The project requires a collaborative and iterative approach, integrating technical analysis, stakeholder engagement, and environmental stewardship throughout all project phases.
