The City of Detroit is soliciting proposals from licensed and qualified firms to submit design-build proposals for the design and construction of a new pavilion building located at the east side of the existing Detroit City Park. The pavilion structure shall be comprised of standard dimensional lumber, but the City is open to an alternative option for log-framed construction. The selected firm will be responsible for providing comprehensive design, structural engineering, and construction services for the pavilion building as part of the Detroit City Park Revitalization project.
Key aspects of the project include:
• Providing stamped engineering design drawings and calculations, pavilion structure, foundations, electrical, and finished concrete slab
• Coordinating with the City's Engineer of record for site design
• Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances
• Obtaining necessary permits and conducting special inspections
• Completing the project within 90 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed
The City will evaluate proposals based on the proposed scope of work, cost, references, experience providing design-build design and construction services, and the consultant's understanding and approach to the project.
