Description
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) intends to negotiate a sole-source contract with Kaymont for the supply of up to 94,800 GP20 Aerological Sounding Balloons. The contract will be an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract with a firm-fixed unit price. The balloons must meet the NWS GP20 Balloon Specification and be delivered at a rate of 4,680 per month with a 90-day lead time.
• The contract is for the Surface and Upper Air Division of the National Weather Service (NWS).
• The statutory authority for the sole-source contract is RFO 12.201-1, “Simplified procedures,” in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 1901 “Simplified acquisition procedures.”
• Other interested parties may submit a statement of capabilities, which will be considered by NOAA.
• The North American Industry Classification Code for this acquisition is 326299, All Other Rubber Product Manufacturing.
