Description

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is seeking applications for interdisciplinary research networks to advance biomedical research on resilience and health optimization. The goal of this initiative is to support research networks that will grow the resilience research community and accomplish high-impact scientific activities. The networks will be expected to engage in activities such as meetings, conferences, interdisciplinary cross-training, research collaborations, and innovative small-scale pilot projects. The NIH encourages interdisciplinary collaborations of researchers and clinicians with expertise in several domains of resilience science. • The research networks will focus on advancing biomedical research on resilience, aligning with the priorities of the NIH and the Department of Health and Human Services. • The networks will be expected to support innovative small-scale pilot projects to generate preliminary data in preparation for future NIH grants. • The networks will engage in dissemination and outreach strategies, such as publications of research frameworks, reviews, design protocols, and best practices. • The NIH encourages applications from eligible organizations, including Native American tribal organizations, state governments, nonprofits, and private institutions of higher education.
