LEASE OF BOROUGH PROPERTY FOR DOWNTOWN OUTDOOR DINING AREA

The Borough of Tenafly is soliciting proposals for the lease of approximately 1,540 square feet of Borough property for use as an outdoor dining area. The successful bidder will be required to enter into a lease agreement with the Borough and pay an annual base rent of not less than $20,000. The lease term will be for a maximum of five years with one four-year renewal option. The bidder will be responsible for designing, constructing, and operating the outdoor dining area, and must comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. The bidder must also provide proof of insurance and obtain any necessary permits and approvals. • The outdoor dining area must be open and operational during Borough-sponsored events at Huyler Park. • The bidder must provide dinner services a minimum of four evenings per week. • The bidder must obtain a Certificate of Occupancy from the Construction Official of the Borough of Tenafly prior to occupancy of the leased premises. • The bidder must comply with all requirements outlined in the specifications and contract documents. • The bidder must provide a bid security payment in the amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the initial year bid amount. • The bidder must submit a completed Bidder's Questionnaire and other required documentation as part of the bid proposal.
