Permafrost Maintenance and Repair

The US Army Corps of Engineers is seeking a contractor to perform permafrost tunnel recurring and preventative maintenance services at the Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL) Permafrost Tunnel Research Facility in Fairbanks, Alaska. The contractor will be responsible for upgrading the refrigeration system, providing recurring maintenance services, and responding to trouble calls. The contract is for a 12-month period with four optional one-year extensions. The contractor must have experience in commercial refrigeration repair and maintenance services and must possess a current Alaska Mechanical Administrator license. • Upgrade the refrigeration system to operate autonomously • Provide recurring maintenance services, including weekly preventative maintenance inspections and monthly checks during the winter season • Respond to trouble calls and provide written estimates for repairs • Perform system repairs as authorized by the Contracting Officer's Representative • Attend a post-award conference and provide a primary point of contact for the contract
