The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is seeking bids for a Rations National Contract (RNC) to supply various spreads for Meal, Ready-to-Eat (MRE) assemblers. The contract will have a term of five years, with five consecutive tiered delivery periods of 365 days each. The contractor will be required to provide a variety of spreads, including cheese, peanut butter, and jelly, in accordance with the specifications outlined in the solicitation. The contractor will also be required to submit Product Demonstration Models (PDMs) for evaluation and approval. The Government reserves the right to evaluate offers and make award(s) without discussions with offerors.
Some key points to consider:
• The contract will be awarded on a per-line-item basis, with multiple contracts possible, including contracts with only one line item.
• The contractor must submit a Food Defense Plan, Integrated Pest Management Plan, Quality Systems Plan, and Surge and Sustainment Plan with their initial offer.
• The contractor must maintain an acceptable Food Defense Plan, Integrated Pest Management Plan, Quality Systems Plan, and Surge and Sustainment Plan throughout the life of the contract.
• The Government will evaluate offers based on technical acceptability and price, with the lowest-priced, technically acceptable offer being selected for award.
