Description

The Cattaraugus County Comprehensive Roadway Safety Action Plan project requires an experienced engineering and urban planning consulting firm to develop a comprehensive safety action plan for Cattaraugus County. The plan will acknowledge the goal of eliminating fatal crashes and reducing serious injury crashes by 50% by 2050. The project will include data analysis, planning structure and community engagement, equity considerations, policy and process changes, and progress tracking. The consultant will perform a regional safety planning study, including analyses of crash event, vehicle, contributing factor, infrastructure, demographic, and geographic data. The study will also assess planning structure, project development, and public involvement processes, and recommend improvements to prioritize transportation safety. Key aspects of the project include: • Developing a comprehensive safety action plan • Conducting data analysis and systemic approach analyses • Identifying and evaluating recommended implementation program impacts • Establishing a prioritization framework for projects and strategies • Creating a customized tracking system for reporting progress • Preparing a final draft comprehensive safety action plan document • Providing a final recommended implementation program annual report and template

Budget estimate

$200,000 – $500,000

The budget for this project is not explicitly stated in the document. However, based on the scope of work and the fact that it is a comprehensive safety action plan, the budget could be in the range of $200,000 to $500,000. This estimate is based on the assumption that the project will require significant resources, including personnel, data analysis, and planning, and that the consultant will need to have experience in transportation planning and engineering services.
