Purchase of Cutter, Creaser, Folding Unit and Annual Maintenance

Tarrant County is soliciting bids for the purchase of a Cutter, Creaser, and Folding Unit to replace an existing machine that has reached the end of its service life. The new machine will be used in a medium to high volume print shop and must meet or exceed the specified requirements. The contract will be for 12 months with an option to renew for an additional 12 months. The successful bidder will be responsible for delivery, installation, and training of the equipment, as well as providing maintenance and technical support. Key features of the machine include air knife, side air kit, card stacker, fan registration, and automatic gutter slit deflectors. • The machine must be able to cut, crease, and fold paper with precision and accuracy. • The machine must be able to handle paper sizes from 8.26” x 8.26” to 13” x 39.3” and produce finished sizes as small as 1.89” x 1.97”. • The machine must be able to perform up to 6 slits, 30 cuts, and 20 creases per sheet. • The machine must have a feed capacity of 3.9” and be able to handle paper weights from 110-400 gsm. • The machine must have a memory of 250 jobs and be able to store and recall custom jobs. • The machine must have a rotary tool module and a cross perforation module. • The machine must be able to create custom T and L shape perforations. • The machine must have a PC controller software that simplifies setting up multiple-up jobs and allows for precise adjustments of slits, cuts, and creases.
