Ladder and Hose Testing Services

The State of Connecticut Department of Administrative Services (DAS) is seeking qualified vendors to provide ladder and hose testing services for fire protection equipment across state facilities. The contract will cover routine inspection, testing, certification, and documentation of fire hoses, ladders, and related fire protection apparatus in accordance with NFPA standards. Services are classified under building and facility maintenance and fire protection system maintenance. • Scope includes testing of fire hoses, ladders, and associated equipment at multiple state locations. • Must follow NFPA 10 (Standard for Portable Fire Extinguishers) and NFPA 14 (Standard for Standpipe and Hose Systems). • Provide written test reports and certification tags after each inspection. • Perform testing on a scheduled basis (e.g., quarterly or as required). • Contractor must have experience with public‑sector fire protection maintenance and be able to supply qualified technicians.
