Description
The Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory is seeking a contractor to furnish all required supervision, labor, materials, tools, plant, and appurtenances necessary to diligently and fully perform all work described in the specifications for the Fabrication and Installation of a CDS Access Platform. The project involves the fabrication and installation of a Cryogenic Distribution System (CDS) Access Platform. The contractor must provide all necessary materials, labor, and equipment to complete the project.
• The project requires the use of specific materials, including HSS 7 x 2 x .250 rectangular tubing, which has been found to be available from certain suppliers.
• The contractor must document any proposed material substitutions in their response.
• The project has a specific design and requirements that must be met, including equivalent grade and specifications, no impact to volume utilized below the plane of the platform walking surface, and no reduction of strength or stiffness relative to the designed section.
