Description
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) is seeking a qualified contractor to replace the existing 8‑10 kW propane generator at the Clayton Tower radio site (49 Kennedy Tower Rd, Clayton, AL 36016). The work is a turn‑key solution covering removal of the existing Kohler generator and ATS, delivery and installation of a new generator with ATS, connection to the propane fuel system, replacement of feeder panels, full electrical wiring per NEC, provision of a temporary generator during installation, testing, and training of ALEA staff. The contractor must hold an Alabama general contractor’s license, electrical contractor’s license, and plumber/gas‑fitter license, provide at least three commercial references, and carry $2 M general liability and workers’ compensation insurance. Bids are submitted via the Alabama Buys portal; questions are due June 30 2026, and the bid deadline is July 20 2026.
