Description
The Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion Repair, Groton (SSGR) intends to award a sole source contract to The Lincoln Electric Company for a training course entitled "Design of Welded Connections". The course will be held in Groton, CT, and will provide customized design of welded connections training to improve welding-related knowledge and experience of SSGR personnel. The period of performance is from 10-13 August 2026.
• The course will focus on the design and production of welded connections using AWS D1 and D14 standards.
• The course will provide lectures on welding processes such as Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), and plasma cutting.
• The course is designed to improve the welding-related knowledge and experience of SSGR personnel.
• The course will be held in Groton, CT.
• The period of performance is from 10-13 August 2026.
