The project also includes extensions of all utilities, parking, and stormwater for the site. The CMR will be responsible for conceptual design, schematic design, design development, and construction documents, but will not include construction administration or close-out. The project will be designed and administered under State Construction Office requirements.
Key features of the project include:
• A high-efficiency, steel frame structure with brick veneer
• A ground source heat pump system for HVAC
• Rooftop and parking lot canopy solar installations
• A focus on energy efficiency and sustainability
• A goal of achieving a near Net Zero facility
• Incorporation of Passive House and WELL Building principles
• A central energy plant designed to support future development on the east side of Trinity Church Road
The CMR will be selected based on factors such as expertise and previous experience, demonstrated understanding of the requirements, experience in the construction of energy-efficient and sustainable buildings, and quality of the proposal.
