Description
The United States Coast Guard is seeking a contractor to provide passenger ferry vessels for day and night pier-side and underway training exercises. The vessels will serve as operational platforms for tactical and mission-readiness training essential to MSRTW operations. The contractor must provide ferry vessels that meet specific operational requirements and facilitate training in areas such as close-quarter combat tactics, CBRNE threat response, and tactical communications. The contract period of performance is from 03/17/2026 to 04/09/2026.
Some key requirements include:
• U.S.-flagged vessels compliant with federal maritime regulations
• Vessel length: Between 150 and 250 feet
• Passenger capacity: Between 500 and 1,200
• Open deck space: Minimum of 12 feet by 12 feet for helicopter operations
• Freeboard: 15 to 30 feet freeboard for small boat hook and climb operations
• At least one vessel must be capable of transiting at least 10 nautical miles offshore from Point Loma, CA
• Stable and reinforced deck areas for high-intensity tactical training
• Multiple embarkation points for rapid personnel deployment
• Onboard power sources capable of sustaining extended operations
