D--Special Notice of Intent to Sole Source Award

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Acquisition & Property Operations, intends to award a sole source contract to Riegl USA, Inc. for the continued access to the POSPac software. The software is required for the operational data acquisition, system integration, and system verification & testing of the VQ-580II Airborne Laser Scanner. The contract will be a firm fixed price contract under the authority of (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b) for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold. • The contract is for the POSPac software provided by Riegl USA, Inc. • The software is essential for the kinematic LiDAR data processing. • Riegl USA, Inc. is the only qualified contractor due to the specific technology and equipment. • The contract will be a firm fixed price contract. • The contract is under the authority of (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b) for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold.
