Chiller Replacement - Hector International Airport (FAR) Airport Traffic Control Tower (ATCT)

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking a contractor to replace a chiller at the Hector International Airport (FAR) Airport Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) in Fargo, North Dakota. The work includes removing and replacing the existing air-cooled chiller, performing demolition work, verifying dimensions of the existing chiller system, providing temporary cooling, replacing chilled water pumps, integrating the new chiller system into the existing Direct Digital Control (DDC) system, and providing training on the new system. The contractor will be responsible for coordinating all activities with the FAA Resident Engineer (RE) or Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) to minimize impact to air traffic. • The contractor must examine the areas of the proposed work to verify existing conditions, quantities, and site characteristics. • The contractor must provide a letter stating that no product or material used on the project contains asbestos. • The contractor must comply with all state and local requirements for construction of utilities. • The contractor must provide a delivery plan for all types of deliveries and ensure that normal flow of traffic is not impeded. • The contractor must erect and maintain fencing, marking, and/or warning devices to delineate the perimeter of construction areas. • The contractor must obtain all required permits and pay for all associated costs. • The contractor must perform HVAC equipment initial startup by local manufacturer representatives qualified to conduct testing/performance verification of all installed systems.
