Description

The United States Coast Guard is soliciting a quotation for a waterborne hull clean and inspection, as well as a zinc anode renewal for the CGC William Sparling. The contractor will be required to provide these services during one of two potential periods of performance: 13-19 July 2026 or 20-26 July 2026. The work will be performed at the CGC William Sparling, located at 427 Commercial St, Boston, MA 02109. The contractor must provide a detailed cost breakdown, including all specifications, and must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. The Government reserves the right to award the contract to the offeror that provides the best value, considering factors such as price, past performance, and quality. Some key requirements of the job include: • Cleaning the underwater body surfaces of the vessel to remove marine growth and debris • Inspecting the vessel's underwater body surfaces to identify any damage or areas that require repair • Renewing the zinc anodes on the vessel to protect against corrosion • Providing video recordings of the underwater body surfaces before and after cleaning • Ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with the provided drawings and specifications

Budget estimate

$100,000 – $500,000

The budget for this opportunity is likely to be in the range of $100,000 to $500,000. This estimate is based on the fact that the opportunity involves the repair and maintenance of a US Coast Guard vessel, which can be a complex and costly process. The contractor will need to provide a detailed cost breakdown, including all specifications, which suggests that the Government is expecting a significant investment. Additionally, the fact that the Government is reserving the right to award the contract to the offeror that provides the best value, considering factors such as price, past performance, and quality, suggests that the budget will be substantial. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include: • The complexity of the repair and maintenance work required • The cost of materials and labor • The level of competition among contractors • The Government's budget for the project
