Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking information from sources that may be capable of providing system upgrades for Magneto-Raman and photoluminescence spectroscopy. The upgrades include a new magnet power supply, a service contract, and additional parts compatible with the existing magneto Raman and photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy instrument. The parts must be specifically compatible with the existing instrument and meet industry standards for safety. • The magnet power supply must be fully compatible with NIST's existing commercial attocube 2100 magneto cryostat. • The service contract includes 1 preventative visit of 1 day per year as well as up to 1 corrective action visit per year. • The additional parts include titanium sample holders, titanium screws, and a low temperature compatible, long working distance (LWD) apochromatic objective. • The objective must be compatible with the current sample stick and meet specifications for environments at magnetic fields up to 9 T, and operational temperature range of 1.7 K up to room temperature.

Budget estimate

$100,000 – $500,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate because the document does not provide a specific budget or pricing information. However, based on the complexity of the system upgrades and the specialized nature of the equipment, it is likely that the budget will be in the range of $100,000 to $500,000. The budget may be influenced by factors such as the cost of the magnet power supply, the service contract, and the additional parts compatible with the existing instrument.
