Description
The City of Salina is seeking a qualified contractor to demolish the existing scale house and truck scale at its municipal solid‑waste landfill, and to construct a new scale house building with full architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, along with two new truck scales (inbound and outbound). The scope includes extensive earthwork, grading, sub‑grade preparation, structural fill, utility coordination, asphalt paving, concrete pads, curbs, sidewalks, drainage improvements, and storm‑water control measures. All labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals are to be provided on a firm unit‑price basis.
• Demolition of existing scale house and truck scale, disposal of waste in compliance with regulations.
• New building construction with complete MEP, doors, windows, interior finishes, and utility hookups.
• Installation of two truck scales with foundations, approach slabs, and required mechanical/electrical connections.
• Site work: grading, compacted aggregate base, asphalt pavement, concrete pads, curbs, sidewalks, drainage, and storm‑water controls.
