Description

The FY27 CCN Crisis Center Nursery Program provides funding for crisis nurseries to support families in crisis. The program aims to reduce parental stress, improve parenting skills, and reduce the risk of child abuse and neglect. The crisis nurseries will provide emergency and respite childcare, home visiting services, and other supportive services to families in need. The program will serve children from birth to six years old and their families. The funding opportunity is open to county governments, city or township governments, nonprofit organizations, and for-profit organizations. The applicants must meet the eligibility criteria, including being registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and having a valid Unique Entity Identifier (UEI). The application process involves submitting a uniform application for state grant assistance, a program narrative and budget, and supplemental questions. The applications will be reviewed based on factors such as organizational capacity and experience, program design and implementation plan, alignment with funding priorities, outcomes and performance measurement, budget and cost effectiveness, and risk and compliance. • The program will provide emergency and respite childcare services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. • The program will offer home visiting services, parent support groups, and parent/child interaction groups. • The program will provide linkage to services and resource referrals. • The program will offer basic needs such as diapers, formula, and clothing to families in need. • The program will prioritize services for families at the highest risk, such as those involved with the Department of Children and Family Services.
