Description
The City of Coconut Creek is seeking a licensed General Contractor to fully renovate its Fleet Building (4900 W. Copans Rd.). The project includes structural hardening, removal of existing cupolas, replacement of the standing‑seam metal roof, installation of a new lightning‑protection system and a solar array, replacement of all impact‑rated doors, windows, and hurricane shutters, upgrade of interior finishes, mezzanines, stairs, railings, casework, metal shelving, flooring, ceilings, and LED lighting, complete replacement of HVAC systems and associated ductwork, electrical upgrades including a new ATS, and installation of expanded metal fencing and CCTV cameras. The existing vehicle service bays must remain operational during normal business hours, requiring temporary fencing and coordinated weekend work for certain tasks. The contractor must provide bid and performance bonds, maintain required insurance, and comply with city safety, e‑verify, and drug‑free workplace requirements.
