Description
The State of Kansas Department of Commerce is soliciting a single‑person Business Recruitment Consultant to act as Kansas’s exclusive representative for business attraction activities across the East Coast (Connecticut through South Carolina). The consultant will work remotely (based in Atlanta, Greenville/Columbia SC, or Charlotte, NC) and will be responsible for lead generation, relationship building with site selectors, coordination with Kansas economic‑development resources, and monthly reporting of recruitment activities. The contract runs from July 18 2027 to June 30 2030 (three years) with two optional one‑year renewals, and compensation is a flat monthly fee plus reimbursable travel up to $25,000 per year.
