Description
The Town of Sherborn seeks a qualified electrical contractor to upgrade the electrical infrastructure of its recycling center located at 161 North Main Street. The work includes demolition of existing 480 V service equipment, installation of new service meters, conduit, power risers, multiple panelboards, and coordination with Eversource for transformer connections, as well as optional new‑conduit work. Bidders must submit an electronic bid by August 28, 2026 and acknowledge all addenda.
• Replace existing 250 A/480 V meter socket with a 200 A/480 V “cold‑sequence” meter socket.
• Install new feeder conduit (high‑rise) and secondary PVC conduit, supporting new panelboards (EXP1‑EXP3, MDP, PP).
• Perform demolition of existing 480 V feeder, reuse or replace conduit as indicated, and coordinate grounding per NEC and State Electrical Code.
• Optional Alternate 1: Provide new conduit from operator’s house to shed for additional feeder.
• Provide required performance bond (50 % of contract price) and 5 % bid deposit.
