Description
The Camden City School District seeks a qualified law firm to serve as Special Counsel for a one‑year term, providing comprehensive legal representation and counsel on the Urban Hope Act and Renaissance School projects. The firm will advise the Board, represent the district in litigation, draft and review contracts, and support compliance with charter‑school and public‑private partnership regulations.
• Provide general legal services to the Board, including litigation, opinions, and contract drafting.
• Advise on Urban Hope Act compliance, manage three Renaissance School operating contracts, and coordinate with NJ Department of Education.
• Offer strategic policy guidance, risk mitigation, and optional general‑counsel services as needed.
• Submit detailed hourly‑rate schedule (partners, associates, paralegals, support staff) and optional flat‑fee/retainer options.
• Maintain required insurance coverages and comply with extensive NJ statutory certifications (ADA, affirmative‑action, non‑collusion, political‑contribution, etc.).
