Notice of Intent (NOI) to Sole Source AND Request for Information (RFI)

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Detroit District, is issuing a Notice of Intent (NOI) to sole source the brand name product requirements of Rockwell Automation Stratix Network Switches as part of the 9-Mile Pump construction contract. The Stratix Network Switches are integral components of industrial ethernet switches that are part of the existing Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) System already in place at the 9-mile Pump Station. The USACE is seeking responses from firms capable of providing a compatible equivalent product. • The Stratix switches would be utilized to connect to both the I/O network and the WAN/SCADA network. • Rockwell Automation is the only manufacturer of the Stratix Network Switches parts and can be obtained through Rockwell Automation and distributors. • The Stratix Network Switches are to be purchased and installed by the contractor or the subcontractors. • A standard one (1) year warranty applies to the Stratix Switches.
