The City of Stockton is seeking a qualified firm to provide high-volume, high-quality spay and neuter clinic services to address the overwhelming intake of stray and community-owned animals. The selected firm will be required to perform at least 200 spay and neuter surgeries over a three-day period. The firm will be responsible for providing pre-surgical examinations, anesthesia and pain management, sterilization procedures, and post-operative care in compliance with all state and federal veterinary medical regulations. The firm will also be required to collaborate with the Animal Services staff to support outreach and scheduling, with priority given to underserved residents and pet owners who may otherwise lack access to affordable veterinary care.
• The City will provide all readily available documentation and data necessary for completing the tasks.
• The firm will be required to provide regular reports on the number and type of animals served to ensure transparency and accountability.
• The firm will be required to have a licensed veterinarian and trained technicians on staff to perform the surgeries.
• The firm will be required to have liability insurance and provide proof of insurance before commencing work.
