Budget estimate

$500,000 – $2,500,000

The estimated budget for this contract extension can be determined by considering the original contract value and the potential period of performance. Although the document does not provide the exact contract value, we can make an educated estimate based on the fact that the contract is being extended for a period of 6 months. Assuming the original contract value was in the range of $1 million to $5 million per year, the estimated budget for the 6-month extension could be between $500,000 and $2.5 million. This estimate is rough and may vary depending on the actual contract value and the scope of work. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the complexity of the research, the number of personnel involved, and the equipment and resources required.
