SBU/ RFQ Design Services- Multiple Campus Geothermal Assessment and Design

SUNY Stony Brook is seeking a qualified consulting firm to perform comprehensive assessment and design services for geothermal heating and cooling systems across multiple campus sites. The work will involve feasibility studies, system sizing, detailed engineering design, coordination with campus facilities, and preparation of documentation required for permitting and construction. No cost proposals are required at this stage; only qualifications demonstrating relevant experience will be considered. • Conduct site‑level geothermal feasibility assessments for several Stony Brook University campuses. • Develop conceptual and detailed design packages, including system sizing, piping layouts, and integration with existing HVAC. • Provide all required documentation for permits, construction, and financing, and coordinate with university facilities staff. • Submit qualifications showing prior multi‑site geothermal or large‑scale sustainable energy design projects. • Comply with numerous SUNY and New York State certifications (MWBE, SDVOB, EO 177, etc.) and submit required employment reports after award.
