RIPTA is seeking a qualified fire‑protection contractor to provide comprehensive fire alarm detection, fire‑suppression system maintenance, and backflow preventer calibration across its entire transit‑facility portfolio. The work includes routine quarterly, semi‑annual, and annual inspections, testing, preventive maintenance, emergency response within three hours, detailed reporting to an electronic system, and performance bonding. Services cover twelve major buildings (A‑L), a transit tunnel dry‑standpipe system, and several ancillary sites, each with specific fire‑alarm panels, sprinkler configurations (wet, dry, pre‑action), clean‑agent systems, fire hydrants, and backflow devices. The contractor must hold Rhode Island fire‑alarm and sprinkler licenses, carry extensive insurance, provide performance/payment bonds, and comply with federal (FTA, Buy‑America, Davis‑Bacon) and state regulations.
• Perform quarterly, semi‑annual, and annual inspections of fire alarm panels, detectors, sprinklers, clean‑agent systems, fire hydrants, and backflow preventers at 12+ RIPTA facilities.
• Provide 24/7 emergency response (≤3 hours) and submit detailed electronic and hard‑copy test reports.
• Supply required bonds, insurance, and certifications; adhere to NFPA 25, state fire codes, and all federal procurement rules.
