Description

The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (Marine Resources Division) seeks to establish a master agreement for the purchase of a comprehensive inventory of marine‑grade boating supplies and repair parts for its enforcement and biological vessels. The agreement will be “all‑or‑none” and cover electrical, engine, hardware, safety, and specialty items needed for in‑house maintenance, with deliveries made as required throughout the contract period. Vendors must be able to supply every listed category and have a location within 50 miles of either 999 Commerce Drive, Gulf Shores, AL 36542 or 2 Iberville Drive, Dauphin Island, AL 36528. The solicitation is a Quick‑Quote (RFQ) opening on 2 Oct 2026 and closing on 17 Feb 2026. • Marine‑grade electrical components (batteries, chargers, lighting, communications, etc.) • Engine and drivetrain parts, lubricants, fuel system accessories, and related hardware • Boat‑maintenance hardware, plumbing, anchoring, decking, seating, trailer equipment, safety gear, and specialty fishing/paddle accessories • Must support a broad fleet of enforcement and research vessels listed in the specs The contract will run from February 2026 through 30 Sept 2026, with items ordered on an as‑needed basis.

Budget estimate

$1,200,000 – $2,000,000

No explicit contract ceiling is provided, but the scope covers an entire state‑wide marine fleet with ongoing consumable purchases over an eight‑month period. Assuming an average monthly spend of $150,000–$250,000 for parts, hardware, and safety gear (typical for a medium‑size enforcement fleet), the total contract value could range from roughly $1.2 million to $2 million. This estimate accounts for variable usage, inventory stocking, and the “all‑or‑none” requirement that the vendor must supply every category.
