Description
The Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department is seeking a contractor to provide continuing contract services for the rehabilitation of wastewater gravity pipelines and manhole rehabilitation. The contractor will be responsible for providing all materials, labor, equipment, and services necessary for traffic control, bypass pumping and/or diversion of sewage flows, cleaning and television inspection of sewers to be lined, liner installation, reconnection of service connections, and all quality controls. The contract will be a single unit-price contract, and the contractor will be required to submit applications for payment to the owner in accordance with the schedule established by the general conditions of the contract documents.
• The contractor will be responsible for coordinating with the owner to ensure that the work is completed with minimal disruption to the public and to the operation and maintenance of existing facilities.
• The contractor will be required to provide a detailed outage plan and schedule for the engineer's approval a minimum of 2 weeks in advance of the time that such outage is planned.
• The contractor will be responsible for providing temporary facilities and piping as required to maintain the operation of the existing facilities during construction.
• The contractor will be required to submit a traffic control plan to the appropriate permitting entity for approval a minimum of 6 weeks prior to construction.
The contract documents include sections on work restrictions, access to the site, price and payment procedures, and product storage and handling requirements. The contractor will be required to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations, laws, and standards, as well as any specific Palm Beach County or Water Utilities Department requirements.
