Description
The U.S. Embassy in Ottawa has a requirement for an experienced Snow Clearing company to perform after hour, weekend, and American/Canadian holiday snow clearing at the Official U.S. Embassy Residences. The work will be performed at the U.S. Government premises located at 246 Rockcliffe Road and 1500 Lisgar Road in Ottawa. The contractor shall provide its own employees, equipment, and supplies necessary to complete the services. The contract period is from October 15 to April 15, with a base year and four one-year options.
• The contractor shall clear all drive lanes, dirt roads, vacant parking stalls, front entrance steps, ramps, and walkways.
• The contractor shall comply with all federal, state, and local government laws, regulations, codes, and ordinances.
• The contractor shall begin snow removal at the properties as soon as the snow reaches a depth of 5 cm, between the hours of 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and on weekends and holidays.
• The contractor shall supply and mechanically spread a thin layer of deicing material on walkways and grit or sand on dirt roads in icy conditions.
