Description

The US Army is seeking a contractor to provide rigging services for the relocation, removal, and installation of machinery and support equipment at the Crane Army Ammunition Activity (CAAA) facilities. The contractor will be required to provide all labor, supervision, tools, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the equipment moves. The work will involve conducting site visits and job analysis, preparing equipment for safe movement, providing cranes and other equipment, transporting equipment between buildings, and setting, leveling, aligning, and reassembling equipment at the new location. The contractor will also be responsible for coordinating with CAAA personnel for access, lockout/tagout, and utility reconnection scheduling. Some key points to consider are: • The contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. • The contractor must attend a mandatory site visit. • The contractor must submit a completed Pricing Matrix. • The contractor must comply with all applicable safety requirements, including OSHA 1926.251. • The contractor must provide all tools and equipment necessary to perform the work. • The contractor must maintain continuous progress and complete the work within the agreed-upon timeframe.

Budget estimate

$100,000 – $500,000

The budget for this opportunity is estimated to be between $100,000 and $500,000. The factors that influence this estimate include the scope of work, which involves relocating and installing machinery and equipment, and the requirement for specialized equipment and labor. The government has not provided a specific budget for this project, but the NAICS code 811210 suggests that the work is related to equipment repair and maintenance, which can be a costly process. Additionally, the fact that the contractor must provide all labor, supervision, tools, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the work suggests that the project may require a significant investment. However, without more information about the specific equipment and materials required, it is difficult to provide a more precise estimate.
