Description
The Department of War (DoW) intends to issue a competitive solicitation for the Medical Instructor/Operator Support Services (MIOSS) program. The purpose of the MIOSS program is to provide training focus on Combat Medic (68W Military Occupational Specialty (MOS)) sustainment training. This training includes Medical Education and Demonstration of Individual Competence (MEDIC) (TC8-800 Tables), Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC or TC3), and National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) training (all levels). The contractor shall provide instructor-led training services in the Medical Simulation Training Centers (MSTCs) to support the customer’s capability to meet existing and emerging medical training requirements.
Some key points about the job and scope-of-work include:
* Providing simultaneous services/support in all MSTCs
* Meeting or exceeding the Government’s defined minimum technical specifications for staffing presence, qualifications, and shift coverage
* Maintaining a Mandatory Minimum Staffing Baseline of 110 Full-Time Equivalents (FTEs)
* Supporting a flexible work schedule that facilitates site/user training requirements
* Utilizing moulage techniques, environmental control, and theatrical special effects to simulate injuries and environments
* Assessing students’ critical thinking skills and psychomotor skills based on their ability to perform under high-fidelity situations
