The Medical Board of California, part of the California Department of Consumer Affairs, is seeking a qualified vendor to provide full‑service medical transcription and operate a 24/7 toll‑free dictation line. The contract is for three years (Jan 1 2027 – Dec 31 2029) and will be awarded to the lowest responsive bidder. Bidders must submit a detailed cost sheet, meet strict confidentiality and data‑security requirements, and disclose any use of generative AI.
• Produce verbatim transcripts of medical interview recordings, expert‑dictated reports, and Board meeting minutes, adhering to a sample transcript format.
• Provide and maintain a secure 24 × 7 toll‑free dictation line with individual ID/PIN authentication for approximately 50 medical consultants.
• Deliver draft transcripts within 7 business days and final transcripts within 3 business days after revisions; all files must be sent via encrypted electronic transmission.
• Meet eligibility criteria including 2 years of relevant experience, three government references, tax compliance, and required certifications (small‑business preference, Darfur Act, GenAI disclosure, etc.).
• Submit the bid package (electronic PDF or sealed envelope) by November 9, 2026, 3:00 PM PST; public bid opening will occur on November 10, 2026.
