NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE SOURCE TO TELEFONICA DE ESPAÑA FOR WIRED TELECOMMUNICATION SERVICES

The US Navy intends to issue a sole source contract to Telefonica de España for wired telecommunication services at Naval Station Rota, Spain. The contract has a rough order of magnitude (ROM) of $3.8M. The contractor will be responsible for providing various telecommunication services, including PSTN number assignments, outside cable pairs, analog and digital handsets, GPON service, and point-to-point circuits. The contractor must also provide maintenance and repair services for the telecommunication equipment and infrastructure. Any interested party that believes it can compete for this contract must submit a response that includes a capability statement, a description of their current infrastructure, and a rough implementation plan. • The contractor must provide PSTN number assignments and outside cable pairs for the Navy's lease and use. • The contractor must maintain the telecommunication equipment and infrastructure in good working order. • The contractor must provide analog and digital handsets and GPON service. • The contractor must provide point-to-point circuits and switched Ethernet service. • The contractor must provide maintenance and repair services for the telecommunication equipment and infrastructure.
