Description
The Commonwealth of Kentucky, Transportation Cabinet is seeking bids for longitudinal joint patching and microsurfacing services. The contractor will be responsible for applying a microsurface longitudinal patch along a longitudinal joint to marked locations within the project district. The area for microsurfacing longitudinal patch will be three feet in width and the length determined by the Engineer. The contractor must meet all requirements outlined in the SPECIAL NOTE FOR LONGITUDINAL JOINT PAVING WITH MICROSURFACING and the Kentucky Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction.
• The contractor must be prequalified in work item J61 to KRS Section 176.140 and as stipulated in Section 102.01 of the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, Current Edition.
• The contractor must submit a bid price for all districts to be considered for award.
• The contractor will have 45 calendar days from the receipt of the Delivery Order to complete the paving.
• The contractor must notify the District Project Delivery and Preservation personnel 48 hours prior to starting a given Delivery Order.
• The contractor must provide traffic control according to the current Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices and the current KYTC Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction at no additional cost to the Department.
