Uniforms and Accessories for San Diego Police Department (SDPD) Recruits

The City of San Diego is seeking a qualified vendor to provide a full suite of uniforms and related accessories for its police department recruits. The contract covers both “Academy Class B” uniforms (which must be the Dickie™ brand) and a set of training‑related garments and equipment. Bidders must submit a sealed paper bid plus an electronic copy by the February 12 deadline and will be evaluated on the lowest responsible and responsive offer. The award will be a one‑year contract with up to four optional one‑year renewals, and the vendor must meet extensive insurance, bonding, and reporting requirements. • Required items include Dickie™ shirts, pants, cargo pants, leather belts, name plates, plus training shirts, shorts, belts, lock, holsters, protective eyewear, reflective vests, cleaning kits, gear bags, etc. • Quantities are roughly 600 shirts/pants, 400 cargo pants, and 200 units of each accessory/equipment item. • No brand alternatives allowed for academy uniforms; all other items may be sourced from alternate manufacturers that meet the specifications. • Bids must be signed electronically (or with scanned signature) via the PlanetBids portal and submitted as one paper envelope and one electronic copy.
