Edwina and Lower Quarry Pump Station Improvements

The project calls for comprehensive upgrades to the existing Edwina and Lower Quarry wastewater pump stations, and the installation of a new 1,067‑foot 8‑inch HDPE force main connecting the two stations. Work includes replacing existing submersible pumps, moving electrical equipment out of flood‑prone areas, improving access and safety, adding bypass connections, expanding wet‑well capacity, and installing a third pump and variable‑frequency drives at Lower Quarry. The new force main will be installed via horizontal directional drilling beneath the Pigeon River, protected by a 16‑inch HDPE casing. • Edwina Pump Station: replace pumps (increase capacity to 350 gpm), relocate electrical gear, enhance personnel access, add bypass, add secondary wet well (10′ × 10′). • Lower Quarry Pump Station: add third pump (capacity to 1,180 gpm), upgrade starters to VFD, install flow meter and bypass, build platform for equipment above floodplain. • Install 1,067 ft of 8‑inch HDPE force main with 16‑inch casing using horizontal directional drilling beneath the river. • Provide full construction plans and project manual; delivery fee $22 for electronic documents (125 MB).
