DMH Small Purchase CMHC Kitchen Dishwasher Hot Water Supply System

The Department of Human Services is seeking a vendor to replace the equipment comprising the kitchen dishwasher hot water supply system at the Chester Mental Health Center. The project includes replacing all hot water piping, valves, gauges, and related components, as well as properly insulating all system lines to reduce heat loss and improve efficiency. The vendor will be responsible for removing and disposing of the existing equipment, providing all required fittings and making connections, and performing a satisfactory operational test. • The existing hydronic copper boiler has been in service for 23 years and is no longer supported by the manufacturer. • The new hot water supply equipment must be capable of providing 180-195F water for proper hot water sanitation of hospital dishes. • The unit shall have manual start and stop operation and pressure relief valves shall not exceed 125psi. • The existing hot water storage tank shall be replaced if necessary to sustain adequate flows and temperatures for continuous operation of the dishwasher. • The contractor shall provide all materials and perform the installation and connections. • The project schedule must be coordinated with the facility to minimize interference with routine operations.
